Navigation equipment

Navigation, safety, and communication equipment should be verified during survey. MarineDirect encourages buyers to request service records, engine hour logs, and recent yard invoices to validate operational readiness before closing.

Condition & ownership history

Condition is declared as New. Ask the seller for maintenance summaries, antifouling dates, and any structural or cosmetic work completed in the last two seasons. A professional survey is recommended for all pre-owned purchases above entry-level price points.

Mediterranean market context

marina remains one of the most active regions for Galeon resales, with strong demand from owner-operators and family crews upgrading into flybridge and sport-cruiser platforms. Inventory at this price point typically moves when photography, maintenance records, and VAT documentation are presented clearly — all of which MarineDirect surfaces on this listing page.

Survey, sea trial, and handover

We recommend scheduling a sea trial in settled weather and commissioning an independent survey before contract signing. Confirm mooring arrangements, insurance transferability, and any seasonal lift or antifouling work due within twelve months. Sellers on MarineDirect can often coordinate local berthing for inspections without obligating you to travel before basic questions are answered.

Ownership and registration

Registration path depends on buyer residency and intended flag state. European buyers frequently keep vessels within EU VAT-paid status when cruising seasonally; non-EU buyers should validate import duties and temporary admission rules with a marine lawyer. Request the seller's bill of sale chain, lien search results, and equipment inventory signed at handover.
